Duties and
Responsibilities: Opticians are eye care professionals who select and
fit contacts and eyeglasses for patients. After an ophthalmologist writes a prescription,
dispensing opticians take eye measurements and determine how a patient’s occupation,
lifestyle and facial features affect his or her eye wear needs.
Salary: $33,770
Education: High school diploma with one-the-job training or apprenticeship;
or certificate, associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in opticianry for
career advancement.
REFLECTION: I think this is a job,
because thanks to these doctors, people who need take care in their eyes can be
sure about what is happen and take a good care of their eyes, and this is necessary
because the eyes are so important in our life.
